The difference from a simple digital instrument cluster comes down to one word: connectivity. Navigation, calls, and music are brought directly before your eyes, without taking your eyes off the road.

A Design Tailored for Your BMW X5 E70 and X6 E71

This digital instrument cluster installs in place of the original instrument panel and adopts the style of the BMW digital cockpit. Speed, RPM, navigation, and media are displayed full-screen in a fluid interface that instantly elevates the finish of your SUV.

On an X5 E70, the effect is striking: the dashboard remains strictly original, but your gaze falls on a current-generation display. This is exactly what owners are looking for when they install a BMW X5 E70 CarPlay screen rather than a phone mount attached to the air vent.

Technology, Connectivity, and Finish

12.3-inch high-resolution LCD panel running on a Linux system, customizable multi-function display, and, depending on the version, CarPlay connectivity: this instrument panel offers perfect readability day and night, with electronics designed for durable daily use.

The Apple CarPlay feature is a game-changer in a vehicle designed before the smartphone era: directions are displayed in large format, calls can be managed without taking your hands off the wheel, and the multimedia system finally becomes readable. Designed as a replacement for the original instrument cluster on the BMW X5 E70 and X6 E71 (2006-2013), it connects to the existing wiring harness; exact compatibility should be checked according to the trim level, and installation by a professional is recommended. The replacement of the original instrument cluster requires removing the dashboard cover and then reconnecting the main connector: an operation mastered in the workshop, more delicate in a garage driveway.

Does CarPlay Work Wirelessly on a 2006 Vehicle?

Yes, and that is the whole point: connectivity does not depend on the vehicle's original electronics but on the module integrated into the new instrument cluster. An X5 E70 released long before the appearance of wireless CarPlay can therefore display your phone's navigation full-screen. Depending on the version chosen, the connection is made wirelessly or via a cable; check this point at the time of selection.

Why Order Your BMW X5 E70 CarPlay Digital Dashboard from Becquet Voiture?

Becquet Voiture selects its digital instrument clusters based on the actual resolution of the panel, the fluidity of the system, and the quality of integration into the original dashboard.
