On a large sedan built for highway cruising, leather is paramount: it remains soft from dawn until noon, whereas Alcantara requires more maintenance. Paired with forged carbon and an LED strip, this BMW steering wheel creates a premium sporty atmosphere that is sorely lacking in original F Series interiors.

A design that transforms your BMW F Series

Sporty and distinctive. Directly inspired by the official Sport and Performance programs: racing flat-bottom design, sporty 12 o'clock marker, optimized grip areas. The high-gloss varnished forged carbon forms unique marbled veins on each piece, while the hand-stitched nappa leather wraps the rim with a regular and warm grain.

Choice of stitching (red, white, grey, blue) to match your interior. Nappa leather or Alcantara, LED inserts available depending on the version: the light strip highlights the central position of the steering wheel and gives the cockpit a sense of depth at night. This BMW carbon leather steering wheel combines both qualities that F10, F30 or F32 owners are looking for — technical materials and grand tourer comfort — without sacrificing either.

Technology & premium build quality

Carbon, Alcantara and leather quality. Pre-impregnated carbon cured in an autoclave for maximum rigidity, with a UV-resistant polyurethane varnish that preserves the depth of the weave. Hand-stitched nappa leather, stain-treated Alcantara for track use. High-density foam under the wrapping provides prolonged grip comfort, without discoloration or shiny areas after tens of thousands of kilometers. As the installation of a BMW F10 steering wheel involves a safety component, workshop installation is recommended, respecting the column nut tightening torque.

Leather or Alcantara: which should you choose for a BMW steering wheel?

It all depends on your actual usage. Alcantara offers superior grip during dynamic driving but patinas faster in a vehicle driven 30,000 km per year, and should not be exposed to hand creams. Nappa leather, on the other hand, is easy to clean, ages with a pleasant patina, and remains comfortable in all seasons — it is the logical choice for a daily-driven 5 Series or 3 Series. This model uses leather on the rim and carbon on the spokes, the most durable combination for a car sport steering wheel that must remain impeccable for years.

Why order your BMW 5 Series F10 steering wheel from Becquet Voiture?

A French specialist in custom Performance accessories for BMW, Becquet Voiture has its parts manufactured in European partner workshops and inspects each one before shipping.
