Honda center armrest: the comfort missing from the Jazz
The Honda Jazz is an excellent car, but most of its trims come from the factory without a center armrest. On a highway journey, the lack of support for the right arm is noticeable after an hour. The replacement armrest corrects this flaw and also adds a closed storage compartment between the seats.
The collection covers the three most common generations of Jazz in France: Jazz Fit 2003-2007, Jazz Fit 2008-2013, and Fit Jazz 3 (2014-2019). Each model is adapted to the center console of its generation: the seat height and the mounting hole spacing change from one model year to the next.
The model for the Honda City goes even further: it includes a storage compartment and a USB charger. It is the answer to the two most common shortcomings in a city car: a place to rest your arm, and an accessible socket to charge a phone without running a cable across the console.
In the vast majority of cases, these armrests can be installed without drilling: the mounting plate attaches to the existing points on the console or seat rail, and the arm folds forward to free access to the handbrake. Allow fifteen to thirty minutes with a screwdriver and an Allen key.
The upholstery is stitched faux leather, with foam dense enough not to flatten after six months. Simple maintenance—a damp cloth and a non-aggressive product—is enough to preserve the original appearance and prevent the stitching from stiffening.
