Opel taillights: units, high-level brake lights and bulb holders
A taillight that no longer lights up is a guaranteed re-inspection and, often, an excessive quote for a plastic part. This collection brings together the Opel taillights that solve the problem at the right level: the complete unit when it is broken, the bulb holder alone when it is the one that has melted, the high-level brake light when its LEDs have failed. Vauxhall references are included: same car, different badge.
The Astra K 2016-2023 is the most common case. On this model, it is the plastic bulb holder that deforms from overheating and eventually loses contact: the collection offers the left holder 39001577, the right holder 39001578 and a 5-door version. Remove the boot trim, turn the holder a quarter turn, reconnect it, and the light works again.
On the high-level brake light side, two references cover the most common models: the 5-door Corsa D and Corsa E, and the Astra J 2009-2016 in the LED version, reference 13372164. It is the third light, the one on the spoiler or the rear window, that often escapes diagnosis until you get overtaken.
Vans are not forgotten. The Vivaro has complete halogen rear units: left for 2016-2021 (shared with the Expert), right for 2019-2021, and a left and right set for 2019-2021. The Combo shares its bulb holders with the Partner and Berlingo 2019-2024, a common platform that simplifies supply.
All these references are listed by side (left or right), by generation and, when it exists, by original number. It is the only reliable way to avoid ordering twice: on these models, a sedan light and an estate light have neither the same cut nor the same connector.
Compatible with the entire Opel range
This selection of Opel taillights covers the models actually present in the collection: Astra J 2009-2016, Astra K 2016-2023, 5-door Corsa D and Corsa E, Vivaro 2016-2021 and 2019-2021, and Combo 2019-2024. The Vauxhall, Peugeot Partner, Peugeot Expert and Berlingo equivalents share certain references, which is specified on each sheet.
Compatible models: Opel Astra J, Astra K, Corsa D, Corsa E, Vivaro, Combo, and Vauxhall equivalents.
Why choose this collection?
- The right granularity: bulb holder, brake light or complete unit, depending on what actually failed.
- OE references listed: 39001577, 39001578, 13372164 and others, to order without making a mistake.
- Side specified: left, right or pair, indicated in the title and not just in the description.
- Free delivery: for a part that the network often bills three to four times more expensive.
Frequently asked questions
My Astra K taillight no longer lights up, do I have to change the whole unit? Rarely. On this model, it is almost always the bulb holder that has overheated and lost contact. First replace the holder on the correct side: the light unit itself is generally intact.
Is a high-level LED brake light easily replaced? Yes: two screws or two clips, one connector, and the part replaces the old one. On the Corsa, access is through the tailgate trim; on the Astra J, through the inside of the spoiler.
Can the bulb failure indicator stay lit? If you switch from a bulb to an LED, yes, the computer may report a fault. The causes and solutions are detailed in our hyper flash and OBD error guide.
