12-inch Mirror Dashcam: Four 4K Channels Leave No Angle Unwatched

A fender bender, a failure to yield, or misjudging your clearance in a parking lot: in all these cases, what matters is not what you saw, but what you can prove. This 4-channel 4K dashcam replaces the surface of your interior mirror with a 12-inch touchscreen and simultaneously records the front, rear, and both sides of the vehicle. The front lens records in 4K, while the other three record in 1080P: license plates remain legible, and the entire scene is captured in a single time-stamped file.

A 12-inch touchscreen that spans the full width of the mirror

The first impression is that of a modern device, not a gadget stuck to the windshield. The 12-inch panel occupies the full length of the original mirror, with a display resolution of 1920 x 480 pixels in widescreen format. You navigate it with your finger, just like a phone: swipe to change cameras, tap to lock a sequence, and go back to review an incident. The touchscreen dashcam eliminates fumbling with tiny buttons while driving.

The body is made of ABS, keeping the whole unit light enough not to cause the mirror mount to vibrate. Depending on your vehicle, the device mounts over the existing rearview mirror or replaces the original bracket—both mounting options are provided. The visual result remains understated: from a distance, it looks like a slightly wide black mirror until the image turns on.

What the four lenses of this car camera are really worth

At the heart of the system is a dual-core SA226 processor clocked at 1.5 GHz, supported by 256 MB of DDR3L RAM. This is what enables simultaneous four-channel recording without stuttering: 4K at the front, 1080P on the left, right, and rear, all at 25 frames per second. The 2-megapixel CMOS sensor has an f/2.0 aperture, with a 126° diagonal field of view, and infrared night vision takes over as soon as light fades.

Two driving aids complete the equipment. The ADAS monitors the distance to the vehicle ahead, lane departures, and pedestrians in front of you. The BSD blind-spot detection, powered by the rear camera, alerts you when a vehicle slips into an area the mirror does not show. Power consumption remains low at 1.7 A during operation, and the device supports temperatures from -20 to 70 °C, covering both a frozen parking lot in January and an interior in the full August sun.

  • 4-channel car dashcam—front, rear, left, and right recorded at the same time
  • 4K 3840 x 2160 front lens—the license plate of the vehicle ahead remains usable
  • 12-inch 1920 x 480 touchscreen—immediate playback without going through the phone
  • Integrated ADAS and BSD—lane departure alert and blind-spot monitoring
  • WiFi and loop recording—retrieve sequences on a smartphone without mobile data
  • G-sensor and parking monitoring—the video locks automatically after an impact

Connecting this dashcam without letting the cables hang out

Power is supplied via a 12 V / 2 A mini-USB port, or by tapping directly into the fuse box for a wire-free look—it is this second solution that allows you to make full use of parking monitoring. The rear camera connects via a cable that must be pulled through to the tailgate, using the existing cable pass-throughs. Allow a good hour for a clean 4-channel dashcam installation, or entrust the cable routing to a professional if you do not wish to remove the pillar trim.

Should you plan for an additional memory card?

Yes, and that is the point to anticipate: the microSD card is not included. The device accepts up to 256 GB with a minimum of Class 10, and this Class 10 rating is not a minor detail: a slower card cannot handle a 4K stream and causes recording interruptions. Video files are written in TS format and photos in JPG, under an RT-Thread real-time system that restarts in a few seconds. Finally, note that the package contents listed by the manufacturer include the main unit, a rear camera with its cable, the ACC power cable, and the manual.

Choosing your dashcam from a specialist in automotive equipment

Dashcam video is one of the categories where technical sheets are the most verbose and the least reliable. We therefore prefer to list what is measured—actual resolution, frame rate, screen size, card capacity—and indicate what is not provided, rather than piling up acronyms. If you are hesitating between a mirror dashcam and a suction-cup model on the windshield, our team will answer you in French before purchase.

Move to 360° visibility: equip your car with this 4-channel mirror dashcam and drive with four witnesses on board.
