Audi Daytime Running Lights: DRL Panels and LED Signatures

Are daytime running lights mandatory in France? They are mandatory equipment on vehicles registered since 2011. On an older vehicle that is equipped with them, they must function correctly to pass the technical inspection.
Can you replace only the DRL strip without changing the headlight? Yes on units that open: the lens is detached after heating the seal, the panel is replaced, and then it is glued back with new butyl cord. On sealed units, only the complete unit can be replaced.
Does an H15 LED bulb trigger a fault? Not in the Canbus version, which simulates the load of a halogen bulb. An H15 LED without a resistor, however, will cause a fault message on most recent Audis.
