Mini Cooper door projector: the logo on the ground
It's the detail that raises an eyebrow in a parking lot: when the door opens, the Mini logo is projected onto the ground, sharp and bright. The logo door projector replaces the original door sill lighting—often a pale white lamp—and transforms a utilitarian feature into a signature.
The collection covers the R and F generations: R56 / R60 / F56 door projectors, JCW high definition version, and JCW Countryman model. The HD versions use a glass lens rather than a plastic film, resulting in a logo with sharp edges even on light-colored ground.
Installation is straightforward: unclip the original sill lighting, reconnect the plug, and replace the module. No drilling, no exposed wiring. It automatically turns on when the door opens, just like the lamp it replaces.
It is also one of the few accessories that is completely reversible: the original module can be reinstalled in two minutes if you sell the car, without a trace or drilling.
We favor projectors with glass lenses and high-intensity diodes: plastic film models lose sharpness as soon as the surface gets scratched, which happens quickly at door sill height.

Frequently asked questions
Is a door projector legal in France? Yes: it only turns on when the door opens while the vehicle is stationary. It is not considered a traffic light and therefore does not need to be approved as such.
My Mini does not have door sill lighting; can I install one? You would then need a standalone battery-powered magnetic module, as the wiring harness and housing are missing. First, check whether your trim has a sill lamp.
Does the logo fade over time? On plastic film models, yes: scratches diffuse the light. Glass lens versions retain their sharpness much longer, as explained in our buying guide.
