MINI CarPlay Box: wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto adapter for MINI Connected
A CarPlay box adds Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto to a MINI that does not have them from the factory, or that still requires a cable. Depending on the generation, the module plugs in behind the MINI Connected screen or into the USB port, and displays Waze, Spotify, and your messages on the original screen—without changing the head unit or touching the wiring harness.
Why choose a MINI CarPlay box from Becquet Voiture?
- Plug and play: connects to the original connector, no cut wires.
- Wireless: the phone connects automatically via Bluetooth, then switches to 5 GHz Wi-Fi in 10 to 15 seconds.
- The screen, dial, and MINI steering wheel controls remain fully functional.
- No permanent modifications: the box can be removed in two minutes before resale or taking the car to the dealership.
Waze on the original screen, without a suction mount
Placing your phone on a suction mount in the middle of a MINI's windshield means giving up half of what makes its dashboard so appealing. A CarPlay box puts navigation, music, and calls where they belong: on the central screen, with the car's sound system and steering wheel controls. And you can plug it in on a Sunday morning, not at an installer's shop.
- No more Lightning or USB-C cable lying around in the center console.
- Waze and Google Maps in full screen, up to date, without buying manufacturer maps.
- Spotify, Apple Music, and podcasts controlled by the MINI Connected dial.
- A 2012 MINI that catches up to a new car in terms of connectivity, for the price of two full tanks of gas.
CarPlay box or full head unit: which one do you need?
The choice depends on a single question: is your original screen suitable for you?
- CarPlay box: your MINI screen works well and you only want CarPlay. The simplest and most reversible option.
- Full head unit: your screen is small, damaged, or missing—see the MINI Head Unit and CarPlay collection.
- Wireless USB adapter: your MINI already has wired CarPlay from the factory and you just want to remove the cable.
- Module behind the screen: your MINI has no CarPlay at all; this is the version that actually adds the feature.
Compatibility: which MINI models?
Modules available for MINI R50, R52, R53, R55 Clubman, R56, R60 Countryman, F54, F55, F56, F57, and F60, with MINI Connected, NBT, and NBT EVO systems. Check your screen's generation (size, presence of an iDrive dial) before ordering: this determines the connector.
Installation, maintenance, and warranty
Allow 15 to 40 minutes depending on the version: remove the screen trim with a trim removal tool, connect in series to the original connector, and reassemble. The initial pairing is then done via the phone's Bluetooth. Free shipping, 30-day returns.
