On the 2015-2017 Mustang, the sequential LED bumper reflector replaces the original passive reflector and adds a visible side repetition from a front three-quarter view; the 2015-2017 amber sequential fog light plays the same role lower down.
On the 2013-2018 Mondeo, the dynamic reflectors bring the same principle to the rear. On the 2015-2019 Edge, the LED mirror turn signals replace the original modules in the housing, and on the 2019-2023 Territory, it is the fender-mounted side repeater that is affected.
The F-150 tow mirrors with integrated LED turn signals are designed for those who tow: an extendable arm to see beyond the trailer, and an orange repetition integrated into the mirror, which is mandatory as soon as the trailer obscures the vehicle's turn signals.
On modern vehicles, an LED consumes so little that the housing may mistake it for a blown bulb and speed up the flashing rate. The affected models include a resistor or come with the appropriate module, always specified on the product page.

Are sequential turn signals legal in France? Yes for approved devices whose sweep starts from the inside out and whose duration remains within regulatory limits. Non-approved kits are reserved for off-road use.
