Colored car window tint film: a head-turning gradient
This colored tint film transforms your car windows into a visual signature: a gradient that transitions from gold, red, blue, green, or silver to black, with a mirrored finish on the outside. Sold in a 50 x 300 cm roll, it is designed for customization enthusiasts, show cars, and car show vehicles looking to stand out.
Why choose a gradient tint film
- Colored mirrored effect viewed from the outside, with visibility maintained from the inside.
- Five colors: gold, red, blue, green, or silver, each with a gradient to black.
- UV protection rated at 99% by the manufacturer.
- Heat insulation rated at 75%: less heat in the cabin.
- Privacy: rear passengers are shielded from view.
A striking colored window tint style
The colored gradient gives the bodywork a continuous, spectacular line, especially on a black, white, or gray car. Gold and red add warmth to a sports car, while blue and silver complement metallic shades, and green makes a bold contrast. It is the ideal accessory for a show car, a tuned car show vehicle, a promotional vehicle, or a wedding car.
Where to apply this colored film
In France, the windshield and front side windows must allow at least 70% of light to pass through: darker film is prohibited on these windows and may result in a fine and vehicle impoundment. The rear side windows and rear window, however, can receive dark film, provided the car has two exterior rearview mirrors. This colored film, which is dark at the bottom, is therefore intended for rear side windows and the rear window. It must not be applied to the windshield or front windows of a vehicle driven on public roads.
Applying colored tint film
Clean the inside of the window with a degreasing agent, cut the film slightly larger, remove the protective backing, then apply the adhesive side to the window wetted with soapy water. Use a squeegee to remove water and air, then finish with a hairdryer on the curves. Align the gradient in the same direction on all windows for a harmonious look. Trim flush with the window seal and let it dry for several days before rolling down the windows.
Frequently asked questions
Is the colored film legal?
On the rear side windows and rear window, yes, with two exterior rearview mirrors; on the windshield and front windows, no.
Can you see clearly from the inside?
Yes, the clear part of the gradient allows visibility, while the darker lower section provides privacy.
Is one roll enough for a car?
A 50 x 300 cm roll generally covers the rear side windows; allow for a second roll for the rear window, depending on its size.
How to maintain the film?
Use a soft cloth and an ammonia-free glass cleaner; never use an abrasive sponge.
