BMW carbon fiber door sills: protection and finish
The door sill is the most abused area of a BMW. Every time you get in, every scuff from a shoe, and every bag placed awkwardly leaves a mark on the original trim. The carbon fiber door sills in this collection serve two purposes: to protect this surface and to finish the door opening like a factory M model.
These parts are made of genuine carbon fiber, not imitation film: visible 3K weave under clear coat, consistent thickness, finished edges. The difference is most noticeable over time—adhesive film peels at the corners after a few winters, while a carbon panel remains intact.
The collection covers the most relevant M coupes and sedans: M2 F87, the F32 / F82 / F83 family (4 Series coupe, M4 coupe and convertible) and the recent G22, G82 and G87 generations. Each reference indicates the covered chassis codes.

Installation is done with high-performance double-sided adhesive: degrease the original trim with isopropyl alcohol, dry fit, and press firmly along the entire length. Allow fifteen minutes for both sides, above 15°C, and avoid high-pressure washing for 48 hours.

The sills offered are cut for specific chassis codes: M2 F87, F32, F82 and F83, as well as G22, G82 and G87. The code is on the manufacturer's plate and in the VIN: check it on the product page, as the length of the door sill trim varies from one generation to another.

How do I find out my BMW's chassis code? It is on the manufacturer's plate in the engine bay and can be derived from the VIN. F32 corresponds to the 4 Series coupe, F82 and F83 to the M4 coupe and convertible, G22 to the current 4 Series, G82 to the current M4 and G87 to the M2.
Does carbon resist shoe scuffs? Yes, the finish clear coat is designed for this use. Clean it with a microfiber cloth and soapy water; avoid abrasive products and hard brushes, which eventually dull the clear coat.
