Red LED push button for Volkswagen — an OEM-style control for your aftermarket equipment

This red LED push button for the Volkswagen Golf 6, Jetta 5 MK5, and Scirocco fills the blank control slots left by the manufacturer on the center console or to the left of the driver. It allows you to operate aftermarket equipment — reverse radar, camera, LED bar, long-range lights — without installing an external switch that would immediately give away the modification.

A switch designed for your Volkswagen Golf 6 and Jetta 5 MK5

The shape, edge radius, and plastic texture match the factory Volkswagen controls of this generation. Six icons are available: radar, LED, front fog lights, daytime running lights (DRL), music, and a blank on/off version for free use. The red indicator matches the original interior ambient lighting.

Technology, quality & finish

12 V dual-LED contactor: a position indicator and icon backlighting connected to the night lighting. The housing is made of UV-treated ABS to prevent yellowing behind the windshield, and the standardized flat terminals accept a standard wiring harness without an adapter. The toggle click is firm and silent.

Installation, compatibility & durability

The switch clips into an existing blanking slot, with no cutting or gluing required. Wire the power to a line protected by a dedicated fuse and connect the ground to the chassis. Compatible with the Volkswagen Golf 6, Jetta 5 MK5, and Scirocco, as well as any housing of identical dimensions: measure your slot, and check exact compatibility before installation.

Fitting steps

  1. Locate the part

    Turn off the ignition and locate the button to replace on your Volkswagen. Part designed for: Volkswagen Golf MK6, Jetta MK5 and Scirocco. Check that your vehicle is one of them.

  2. Remove the old button

    Unclip the button or panel with a plastic pry tool, then unplug the connector if there is one.

  3. Clip on the button

    Line up the clips with their slots, then press gradually until they click, starting from one edge.

  4. Plug in and connect

    Plug in the original connector, then connect the additional wires. Identify each wire with a multimeter and insulate every connection.

  5. Test the function

    Turn the ignition back on and test each function of the button.
