Fitting steps
- Compare with the original grille
Compare the shape and mounting points with the grille of your Land Rover Defender (1990-2018). Before fitting, check that the version received (Style 6, Style 4 Gloss Black, Style 5) is the one you ordered.
- Remove the original grille
Open the hood, remove the top screws and clips, then unclip the grille. On some models, the bumper must be loosened.
- Clean and degrease
Wash the fitting area, then degrease it with isopropyl alcohol. Let it dry completely.
- Stick on the grille
Dry-fit the grille, peel the film off the double-sided tape, then press firmly for 30 seconds over the whole surface.
- Check the alignment
Check the gaps with the hood, headlights and bumper. Make sure the emblem and sensors are properly refitted.
- Protect the bumper with masking tape before prying.
- Transfer the emblem and the sensor brackets from the old grille.
- Fit above 59 °F (15 °C) and avoid washing for 24 h: the adhesive reaches full strength after that time.
