This Hippcron set contains four 22 mm ultrasonic sensors, shipped in the color of your choice from eight available shades. The housing, screen, and wiring of your installation remain in place: only the 22 mm parking sensors are replaced, in just a few minutes on the rear bumper.

Black, champagne gold, silver: matching your probes to the bodywork

The Hippcron palette includes black, gray, white, silver, blue, red, gold, and champagne gold. The latter two shades, rare in standard kits, match particularly well with the beige and bronze bodywork found on certain SUVs. A parking sensor matching the paintwork radically transforms the look of the bumper: it goes from a visible accessory to a detail that no one notices.

And if no shade matches, Hippcron explicitly allows the sensors to be painted. A thin layer of automotive lacquer does not disrupt the ultrasound, as long as the membrane is not submerged. Your rear parking sensor will then take on the exact color of the car.

Each sensor operates at 12 V, within a range of 9 to 16 V, with a current consumption of 20 to 200 mA and a frequency of 40 kHz. The stated useful range is from 0 to 2.5 m, and the operating temperature ranges from -30 to 80 °C: enough to withstand both morning frost and the heat absorbed by a black bumper in the middle of summer. The invisible-mount design keeps the cap flush, without a collar. This obstacle detection from 0 to 2.5 m corresponds to the standard for 22 mm kits.

Check the hole diameter before ordering this set

The point to check is simple but crucial: your bumper must have a 22 mm hole, not 16 or 18. If the original installation uses this diameter, the replacement can be done without drilling tools or repainting. Otherwise, the holes will need to be enlarged — a delicate operation that should be entrusted to a professional. The connectors also vary from one manufacturer to another: check them before installing on your current car parking sensor.

Does this set work without a control unit?

No. Each set includes four sensors, nothing else: no housing, display, buzzer, or hole saw. It is intended for cars already equipped with a functional system whose probes need to be replaced due to wear or personal preference. For a complete first installation, opt for a 12 V universal parking sensor sold as a kit, including the housing and wiring.
