Pressure-injected ABS, mirror-polished and then varnished or vacuum-plated in chrome. Unlike a heat-applied film, the finish shows no creases or bubbles on the tight contours. The material is UV-stabilized so that the white stays white and the black retains its depth after several summers.

The cap clips on by simply pressing the tabs, without removing the mirror or interfering with the defroster or driver-assistance cameras: allow ten minutes per side.
