4-Channel Dashcam: Four Simultaneous Views Around Your Car
Most traffic disputes hinge on what no one caught on camera: a vehicle cutting in on the right, a door left open in a parking lot, or a rear-end collision at a red light. This 4-channel dashcam records the front, both sides, and the rear simultaneously. A car dashcam that leaves no blind spots around the bodywork.
What a Four-Lens Dashcam Really Sees
The main lens records the road in 1920 x 1080 at 30 frames per second with a 170-degree angle: the full width of an intersection, with license plates clearly visible in the center of the frame. The three other channels—left, right, and rear—record in 720p and cover the blind spots where most urban collisions occur.
The 3-inch IPS screen built into the unit allows you to check the framing without a phone and review footage on the spot in the event of an incident. The dashcam with night vision uses a Sony IMX307 sensor and an F2.0 aperture, the classic combination for models that remain usable under streetlights.
Wi-Fi, G-Sensor, and Parking Surveillance: The Unit's Electronics
The Wi-Fi connection allows you to retrieve videos on your phone without removing the SD card, using the compatible apps specified by the manufacturer. Loop recording automatically overwrites the oldest files: you don't have to manage anything, and the camera runs continuously.
The G-sensor automatically locks the footage in the event of an impact so that it is not overwritten. Motion detection and parking surveillance mode take over when the engine is off. The file is exported in H.264, MP4 or AVI format, with recorded audio and a 16:9 screen.

Installing the Four Cameras and Powering the Unit Correctly
The main unit is mounted behind the rearview mirror, while the secondary cameras are positioned according to your vehicle's configuration. It is powered via USB 2.0 at 5 V / 2.5 A. Installing a dashcam involves routing the cables around the windshield to hide them.
Critical point to note: the 150 mAh internal battery is only used to back up the date, time, and settings. It does not power the camera and is not intended to be recharged. Always use the cigarette lighter charger provided in the box. Phone chargers and third-party USB cables are not supported: they often prevent the secondary cameras from activating or the unit from starting.
The 24-hour hardwire kit, essential for engine-off surveillance, is only included if you select the corresponding variant. The memory card is only included in the 32, 64, or 128 GB variants.
Which SD Card Should You Choose for a 4-Channel Dashcam?
Four simultaneous streams consume a lot of bandwidth: this is the most frequently asked question. The unit supports up to 128 GB, with a minimum of Class 10 and formatted in FAT32. A slower card causes recording interruptions. If the SD card error message appears, reset the camera or reinsert the card: this action resolves almost all cases.
Choosing Your Dashcam at Becquet Voiture
We select car dashcams based on the sensor, the actual field of view, and nighttime performance, not on advertised resolutions. A French brand, product pages written in French, and objective advice on whether a two-channel model is sufficient for your needs.
