OLESED WP57 Dashcam: 2.5K Rear Camera, Not 720P

The most common flaw in dual-channel kits comes down to a single number: the front is well-made, the rear is cobbled together. The WP57 corrects exactly that. The front lens records in 4K 3840 x 2160, and the rear lens goes up to 2560 x 1440 — the famous 2.5K. You therefore get a front-rear car dashcam where both feeds are truly usable, not just the one on the box.

18 Megapixels and Dual Stream: The WP57's Resolution in Detail

The 18-megapixel sensor, powered by a Sigmastar chipset, drives 4K recording at 30 frames per second. The TS format chosen for the files has a little-known advantage: in the event of a sudden power cut, the file in progress remains readable, whereas a truncated MP4 can sometimes become unusable. On a car dashcam whose mission is precisely to survive a shock, this detail matters.

Night vision relies on the wide dynamic range and 3D NDR processing to preserve dark areas without blowing out headlights. The automatic white balance prevents greenish images under sodium lighting.

ADAS, WiFi, and 24-Hour Monitoring of the OLESED WP57

ADAS assistance monitors your trajectory and the distance to the vehicle ahead, with an audible alert. WiFi opens access to the Viidure app: you view, download, and share a sequence without touching the card. Depending on the chosen configuration, an external GPS module adds speed and coordinates to each file, and a wiring kit activates continuous 24-hour parking monitoring, even with the engine off.

Five configurations cover all needs: from the front camera alone to the complete pack with 2.5K rear, GPS, and hardwiring. Storage accepts microSD cards up to 512 GB, with loop recording and motion detection.

  • 4K Front and 2.5K Rear — two truly usable feeds, not just one
  • 18-Megapixel Sensor — the zoom margin that allows you to read a license plate from a distance
  • ADAS Alerts — lane departure and safety distance reported
  • Viidure App via WiFi — a wireless car dashcam to view from your phone
  • Resistant TS Files — the sequence in progress remains readable after a sudden power cut
  • Up to 512 GB of Storage — loop recording and motion detection

Installing the WP57: Windshield, Rear Window, and Power

The unit sticks to the top of the windshield, behind the rearview mirror, where its built-in screen remains viewable without obstructing the view. The rear camera sits on the rear window or near the license plate; the cable runs under the trim. The 12V socket is sufficient for everyday use. To go further, the version with a wiring kit connects to the fuse box and maintains power with the engine off. A neat front-rear dashcam installation takes about two hours and a trim removal tool.

Is GPS Mandatory on a Dashcam?

It is not essential, but it is what turns a video into a file. Without GPS, you have an image; with it, you have a dated, geolocated image accompanied by speed. In a discussion where everyone claims to be driving at the legal speed limit, the difference is considerable. This is why the module is offered on several configurations of this 4K dashcam with GPS rather than being imposed on everyone.

Choosing Your Dashcam at Becquet Voiture

We detail what each of the five configurations contains, because a customer who discovers upon opening that their parking mode cable is missing is a disappointed customer — and because it is simply the right way to sell. Here you can spot in thirty seconds the car dashcam with parking mode that matches your usage.

Choose your WP57 configuration and drive with two lenses that truly hold their own.

Fitting steps

  1. Choose the location

Place the camera behind the rear-view mirror, out of the driver's line of sight. Before fitting, check that the version received (Camera Rear 2.5K + GPS + Kit ..., Camera Rear 2.5K + Kit Wiring, Camera Rear 2.5K + GPS) is the one you ordered.

  2. Clean and degrease

Wash the fitting area, then degrease it with isopropyl alcohol. Let it dry completely.

  3. Stick on the dashcam

Dry-fit the dashcam, peel the film off the double-sided tape, then press firmly for 30 seconds over the whole surface.

  4. Connect the power

Plug the camera into the cigarette lighter or USB socket. For permanent power, use the hardwire kit on the fuse box.

  5. Test the recording

Start the engine, check the image, date and time, and format the memory card.

  • Respect privacy: do not share footage of other people.
