DDPAI Z50 Pro Dashcam: the benchmark 4K with onboard ADAS
Some brands make dashcams, DDPAI only makes them. The DDPAI Z50 Pro dashcam is the best example: a 4K sensor powered by a processor capable of analyzing the scene in real time, 5 GHz Wi-Fi that transfers a large file in a few seconds, and an in-car camera designed to stay on day and night. You set it up once; then it gets to work.
What the Z50 Pro really sees: 4K, HDR and night vision
4K resolution is not just a marketing claim here: it serves a specific purpose, reading a license plate from a distance or in difficult lighting. Combined with HDR processing, it prevents blown-out whites when exiting a tunnel and crushed blacks under a bridge. On nighttime roads, the night vision uses a wide aperture and a large photosite sensor: oncoming headlights no longer wash out the image.
The rear lens, available on the full configurations, records the traffic behind you—which is precisely where most liability disputes are decided. The 4K front-rear dashcam then covers both scenes simultaneously, on time-stamped and geolocated files.
ADAS, GPS and 4G: the Z50 Pro does more than just record
The ADAS module monitors lane markings and the distance to the vehicle ahead, and alerts you before the situation escalates. The GPS overlays speed and coordinates in every clip. On the 4G version, the device remains accessible even when the engine is off: you can view the live feed from your phone and receive a notification if something moves around the car. This is the most compelling feature of a modern car black box for anyone who parks on the street.
- Ultra HD 4K dashcam — 3840 × 2160 with HDR, readable license plates day and night
- 5 GHz Wi-Fi — transfer videos to your phone without waiting
- 24-hour parking surveillance — with the wiring kit, impact and motion detection
- ADAS alerts — lane departure and safety distance
- 4G version — remote access and notifications, even when the vehicle is parked
Mounting the Z50 Pro behind your car's rearview mirror
The camera sticks to the windshield, in the area swept by the wipers but out of the driver's field of vision. The cable slips under the headliner and then runs down the pillar to the cigarette lighter. To activate 24-hour parking surveillance, the wiring kit must be connected to the fuse box—a task to leave to a workshop if you don't know how to identify a permanent fuse. Installing a dashcam remains entirely reversible.
4G or no 4G: which Z50 Pro version to choose?
Without 4G, the Z50 Pro records everything and you view the files when you return to the car. With 4G, it warns you while you are elsewhere. The question therefore comes down to a single criterion: does your car sleep in a closed garage or on the street? In the latter case, the connected in-car camera with parking mode is a real game-changer—otherwise, the standard version is more than enough.
DDPAI at Becquet Voiture: onboard equipment without any unpleasant surprises
We select recorders like the rest of our automotive catalog: for what lasts, not for the numbers on the box. Every configuration of this car dashcam is detailed, the cable lengths are stated, and our team answers in French before and after purchase.
