E-ACE B53P Dashcam: the 4K ultra-wide angle that leaves nothing out of frame
On the road, it's not just about filming, but about filming wide. The E-ACE B53P dashcam features a 4K ultra-wide angle lens: the entire road, both shoulders, vehicles pulling out from the side. Where a narrow in-car camera misses the start of a collision, the B53P keeps it in frame, time-stamped and geolocated.
A closer look at the B53P's 4K optics
The lens assembly is protected by a metal ring and a multi-layer lens that limits windshield glare — the most common flaw in cheap recorders. In 4K, the sharpness is enough to read a license plate several cars ahead, and the electronics preserve detail in dark areas instead of washing them out. The Ultra HD 4K dashcam writes its files without excessive compression: that's what makes an image usable before an insurer.
The cylindrical housing remains compact and sits behind the rearview mirror, out of the field of vision. A small control screen allows you to check the framing during installation, then you don't touch it again.
GPS, Wi-Fi and 24-hour standby: the B53P's active features
The GPS module embeds speed and coordinates into every clip — crucial data when two versions of events conflict. Wi-Fi provides access to files from your phone: select a clip, export it, and send it without leaving the parking lot. With the wiring kit, the car black box switches to 24-hour parking surveillance and wakes up at the slightest impact.
- 4K car dashcam — 3840 × 2160 with ultra-wide angle lens
- Optional rear camera — 6, 10 or 15 m cable depending on the length of the vehicle
- Night vision — signal processing that prevents colored grain under urban lighting
- Wi-Fi and mobile app — view and export in a few seconds
- 24-hour parking mode — with wiring kit and low voltage cut-off
Mounting the B53P on the windshield without running a cable across
Adhesive mount against the windshield, cable tucked under the headliner, running down the pillar to the cigarette lighter: installing a dashcam requires no tools or removal of parts. If you add the rear camera, first measure the cable path along the interior and choose the length accordingly: 6 m is suitable for a city car, 10 or 15 m for an estate or minivan. The wiring kit, meanwhile, plugs into the fuse box.
Which memory card to choose for a 4K dashcam?
A 4K writes a lot and is constantly overwriting: you need a high-endurance class micro SD card, designed for continuous overwriting. With 32 GB you keep about an hour and a half of trips, with 128 GB several days of driving. Many failures attributed to the car dashcam actually come from a worn-out generic card: this is the item you should not skimp on.
