Properly sizing your neon kit according to the length of your car

This is the only real trap in this family. Measure the usable length of the side skirts between the wheel arches, then the width under the front and rear bumpers. The bars must cover most of this distance: a bar that is too short leaves a black gap in the middle of the side, and the effect of a continuous halo under the car disappears. When in doubt, take the longer length: a slight overhang hides better than a gap.

Can the lighting be left on with the engine off?

For a short time, yes: the consumption of an LED kit remains low compared to the capacity of a car battery. For an entire evening, however, it is better to start the engine from time to time or connect the kit to a circuit controlled by the ignition. Also think about placing a fuse on the power supply: it is the basic protection of any car LED neon kit connected directly to the battery.
