Fitting steps
- Prepare the power supply
Locate a protected 12 V power supply (parking lights or after ignition) on your Toyota Land Cruiser and the cable route. Stated measurement for this model: 170×115 mm (6.74”×5.3”). Check the package contents: LED emblem, 60 cm wiring, Instructions.
- Remove the original emblem
Turn off the ignition and disconnect the battery. Remove the original emblem (adhesive or pins); on a grille, it often has to be removed.
- Clean and degrease
Wash the fitting area, then degrease it with isopropyl alcohol. Let it dry completely.
- Stick on the illuminated emblem
Dry-fit the illuminated emblem, peel the film off the 3M tape, then press firmly for 30 seconds over the whole surface.
- Connect the power
Connect the positive wire to a fused 12 V supply and the ground wire to a metal point. Insulate every connection.
- Test the lighting
Turn on the ignition and the lights: the emblem must light up steadily.
- Check the regulations: an illuminated front logo may be banned on public roads depending on its color.
- Fit above 59 °F (15 °C) and avoid washing for 24 h: the adhesive reaches full strength after that time.
