Fitting steps
- Prepare the power supply
Locate a protected 12 V power supply (parking lights or after ignition) on your Mercedes-Benz and the cable route. Stated measurement for this model: 18.5 cm. Part designed for: Mercedes-Benz (12 modèles). Check that your vehicle is one of them. Before fitting, check that the version received (Silver, Black) is the one you ordered.
- Cut the power
Turn off the ignition and disconnect the negative battery terminal before touching the electrical circuit.
- Remove the original emblem
Remove the original emblem (adhesive or pins); on a grille, it often has to be removed.
- Clip on the star
Line up the clips with their slots, then press gradually until they click, starting from one edge.
- Connect the power
Connect the positive wire to a fused 12 V supply and the ground wire to a metal point. Insulate every connection.
- Test the lighting
Turn on the ignition and the lights: the emblem must light up steadily.
- Check the regulations: an illuminated front logo may be banned on public roads depending on its color.
