Audi A5 S5 RS5 Door Lock System

Audi A5 Door Closing System — OEM Electric Soft Close

This OEM electric Audi door closing system automatically and smoothly closes the doors of your Audi A5, S5 or RS5 8T/8F (2008-2016), for comfort worthy of the highest-end finishes. It is the Audi soft close equipment usually found on top-tier limousines: the door is lightly touched and locks itself, without slamming, and every entry feels like a flagship sedan. Your passengers will notice it from the very first closing.

A design tailored for your Audi A5

Plug and play function that complements the original central locking: the door closes itself in the final few centimeters, without slamming, for a more elegant gesture with every use. No more doors slammed too hard by guests or poorly closed in a sloped parking lot: the soft door closing pulls the door panel in with the same consistency, in all weather conditions, and protects the seals and hinges from repeated slamming.

Technology, quality & finish

Silent electric mechanism, designed to integrate with the original OEM system, available in a 2-door (coupe) or 4-door (sedan/Sportback) version depending on your A5 configuration. This assisted door closing follows the logic of factory equipment: discreet motors integrated into the locks, triggered only in the final few centimeters, with no parasitic noise during use.

• Premium soft close comfort — the door closes itself, without slamming
• Complete OEM integration — designed for the original central locking
• Silent mechanism — discreetly pulls the door panel in the final few centimeters
• 2 or 4-door version — coupe, sedan or Sportback depending on your A5
• Protects seals and hinges — no more repeated slamming that wears out the door

Installation on your Audi A5, S5 or RS5

Plug and play installation on the original locking system, ideally carried out by a professional. Compatibility should be checked according to the exact version of your Audi A5, S5 or RS5. The plug and play installation requires no irreversible modifications: the powered locks replace the original locks and connect to the existing wiring harness, and an equipped workshop carries out the installation properly in a few hours.

What is soft close and why add it to an A5?

Soft close — or automatic door closing — is an electric assistance that completely locks a door simply by placing it against its latch. On a soft close Audi A5, the benefit is twofold: the comfort of a gesture that is always perfect, and the mechanical protection of the door, which never again suffers a violent slam. It is one of the most valuable upgrades for a premium coupe or Sportback of this generation.
