Connecting the Patriot LED Lights Plug and Play
Plug and play on the OEM connector, no modification required. Compatible with Jeep Patriot 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011. The Patriot taillight installation is done with the tailgate open: remove the access trim, unscrew the nuts, disconnect the wiring harness, and pull the unit backward. Allow about an hour for both sides, without special tools.
One point deserves your attention on this type of conversion: depending on the vehicle, switching to LED can change the turn signal cadence, as the power consumption is much lower than with a filament. Check the cadence after installation; if it flashes too fast, a resistor module solves the problem. Then test all four functions before closing everything up.
