Fitting steps
- Identify the system
Identify the infotainment system of your BMW 3 Series (E90 or E92, 2005-2013) and the size of the original screen. Before fitting, check that the version received (Carplay Module, Full Carplay Touch Screen 8.8...) is the one you ordered.
- Cut the power
Turn off the ignition and disconnect the negative battery terminal before touching the electrical circuit.
- Access the back of the screen
Remove the trim and unscrew the screen or unit to access the connectors.
- Plug in the box
Insert the box harness between the screen and its original connector, then plug in the USB cable.
- Test the functions
Connect the phone and test CarPlay or Android Auto, the camera if any, and the sound.
- Keep the original connectors accessible: the installation is reversible.
