Magnetic sunshade for Volkswagen Golf 7 Variant: the family estate car moves into the shade
A Golf 7 sunshade cut to fit the Variant version—it's not the same as a model for a sedan: the estate car has a longer rear window and a distinctive quarter light that standard sizes never cover. These mesh magnetic panels follow the exact dimensions of the MK7 Variant, window by window. A custom-fit car sunshade that attaches in one motion and transforms summer trips with children in the back.
Cutout following the glass of the Golf 7 Variant
On this estate car, the window line extends towards the rear and ends with a fairly pronounced triangular quarter light. Each panel follows this line without leaving a clear strip at the edge of the pillar. From the outside, the black tint extends the original darkened glass: these car side sunshades blend into the silhouette instead of breaking it.
In use, the back seat becomes pleasant again. The late afternoon sun no longer shines directly on the passengers, the upholstery heats up much less, and the mesh lets in enough light so that no one feels enclosed. This is what distinguishes a perforated car sunshade curtain from a simple opaque panel.
Nano-woven fabric and magnetic border on this Golf 7 MK7 kit
The fabric is a fine "nano" weave, dense enough to soften the glare while maintaining good transparency to the outside. This UV-protective car sunshade significantly reduces the heat absorbed by the dark surfaces of the interior. The magnets, housed in the peripheral hem, come into contact with the metal of the window frame and never the paint, allowing repeated installation and removal without leaving a trace.
- Magnetic car sunshade — one-handed installation, without suction cups to reattach every summer
- Car rear sunshade — the rear seats of the estate car protected from the low sun
- Variant quarter light panel — the triangular window of the estate car finally properly covered
- Complete 7-piece kit — all windows covered, including the windshield and rear window
- Eight combinations — from the pair of front windows to the complete kit, according to your needs
- Discreet storage — the panels fold flat in a back pocket
Installing the panels on a Golf 7 Variant, door open
Present the piece against the frame, release, and the magnets hold it in place: the tool-free sunshade installation requires no screws, glue, or cutting. The rear window panels can stay in place daily; the windshield one is removed before getting back on the road. Compatibility announced for the Volkswagen Golf 7 and Golf 7 Variant of the MK7 generation, model years 2015 to 2021; as the sedan and estate bodies do not have the same quarter light, check the shape of your rear window before installation.
Can I drive with these sunshades on the rear windows?
On the rear side windows, the mesh lets in enough light and does not obstruct the driver's view: many motorists leave them in place during the warmer season. However, the front windshield sunshade and the front window panels are reserved for the parked vehicle, to maintain an intact field of vision.
