Nissan Sentra car sun visor — refurbished illuminated vanity mirror

There are two ways to tell that a Sentra has seen better days: the panel that sags in front of the windshield, and the small mirror whose light no longer works. This replacement car sun visor fixes both at once. Designed for 2013 to 2019 Nissan Sentra models, it matches part number 96401-3SG8A, includes its illuminated vanity mirror, and comes with its connection cable. Reconnect it, screw it back in, and the driver's area instantly looks ten years younger.

Beige or gray, left or right: the exact combination for your Sentra

Sentras from this generation came with two interior color schemes, and nothing betrays a replacement part more than a shade that clashes with the headliner. You can select your color, beige or gray, and your side. The two visors are not symmetrical: the mirror position, hook slot, and cable routing differ. A custom-fit car sun visor is recognizable by this level of detail.

You can also order the pair. This is often the most sensible choice: when one visor gives out, the other has endured exactly the same summers and is rarely far behind. One disassembly, a uniform interior, and the matter is settled for years.

An illuminated mirror, a cable: what sets this part apart

Not all visors are created equal. This one includes an illuminated vanity mirror, with its sliding cover and connection harness. This cable is what makes the difference compared to a basic visor: the light turns on when the cover is opened, which means there is a connector to plug in during installation. The model comes complete, with no need to salvage anything from the old part.

Mechanically, the metal rod turns in a calibrated friction hinge: the visor holds its position, even halfway, and swings laterally to cover the door window. The internal core is a lightweight, non-deformable covered rigid foam that keeps the panel perfectly flat even after a full summer in a closed cabin. A warped anti-glare car sun visor always lets a ray of light through right where it bothers you most.

  • Part number 96401-3SG8A — direct match with the factory part
  • Car sun visor with mirror — illuminated vanity mirror, sliding cover, cable included
  • Six combinations — left, right, or the pair, in beige or gray
  • Firm friction hinge — the visor no longer sags into the field of vision on its own
  • Driver-side car sun visor — swings laterally to cover the door window

Reinstalling your Sentra visor, connector included

The installation of an illuminated car sun visor requires one extra step compared to a basic visor, but nothing complicated. Lift the bracket cover, remove the two Phillips-head screws, slightly pull back the headliner trim to access the connector, unplug it, then reassemble in reverse order with the new part. Allow about twenty minutes per side. Two garage tips: gently unplug the connector by pressing its tab rather than pulling on the wires, and position the assembly to check the alignment before final tightening.

Compatibility: Nissan Sentra, model years 2013 to 2019. If your vehicle has a different headliner trim from a second-hand source, compare the shade with your headliner before ordering.

How to tell if your Sentra has illuminated sun visors?

The check takes five seconds and helps avoid an ordering mistake. Lower your current visor and slide the mirror cover: if a small light turns on on either side of the glass, your vehicle is equipped with the illuminated version, the one shown here. If nothing turns on, there are two possibilities—either the bulb is simply out, or your trim never had lighting. If in doubt, look behind the mounting bracket: the presence of a wire going up into the trim confirms the illuminated version. It is still mechanically possible to install an illuminated interior car sun visor on a trim that is not equipped with one, but the mirror will not light up because there is no connector waiting for it.

Nissan interior parts: our standards, your peace of mind

A visor is one of the elements you see most often in a car. At Becquet Voiture, we apply the same rigor to interior parts as we do to bodywork: matching manufacturer part numbers, firm hinges, accurate color matching, and the actual presence of the wiring harness. Unsure about your color, side, or whether lighting is included? Our French-speaking team will look into it with you before you order.

Give your Sentra an impeccable driver's area again: choose your side, your shade, and order your illuminated vanity mirror sun visor.

Fitting steps

  1. Identify the side

Identify the side (driver or passenger) of the sun visor of your Nissan Sentra (2013-2019). Compare with the original part number 96401-3SG8A.

  2. Remove the old sun visor

Unclip the cover, unscrew the mount and unplug the mirror light if there is one.

  3. Screw on the sun visor

Fix the sun visor with the screws on the original mounting points. Tighten gradually, without forcing.

  4. Connect the power

Connect the positive wire to a fused 12 V supply and the ground wire to a metal point. Insulate every connection.

  5. Test the sun visor

Fold down the sun visor, swing it towards the window and test the mirror and its light.

  • Do not overtighten: the headliner is fragile.
