DescriptionEverything about this product

Fiat 500 and Abarth 595 car sunshade: front, rear, or both

The 500 is a small car with a huge amount of glass relative to its volume. This car sunshade is therefore available in two sizes: one for the front windscreen and one for the rear window—because on a three-door city car, the rear often turns the interior into a greenhouse. Whether your 500 is a sensible city car or an Abarth 595 with its sports seats, summer puts it through the same treatment, and the same protection does it a favor.

Two distinct sizes for the 500's two windows

The front panel follows the characteristic curve of the 500's windscreen, which is very curved in the center, and extends up to the original sun visors. The rear panel, rarer on the market, follows the city car's almost vertical rear window: it is a real rear window car sunshade, not a cut-down rectangle. On a short coupé, this window takes the full force of the sun late in the day and directly cooks the rear seat and parcel shelf.

The difference with a universal car sunshade is immediately visible: no exposed corners, no edges sticking out and preventing the sun visors from closing. Seen from the outside, the interior disappears behind a clean silver surface—a welcome discretion when leaving the car on the street.

The reflective composite that spares the interior of an Abarth

The construction is multi-layered: a metallic-finish aluminum car sunshade type skin on the window side, a flexible core that cuts conduction, and a dark, matte face on the inside that eliminates reflections and makes it an anti-glare car sunshade. This architecture is what distinguishes real protection from a simple shiny sheet that becomes burning hot after twenty minutes.

On an Abarth 595, the stakes are concrete: sports seats often two-tone, contrasting stitching, dashboard plastics painted in the body color. All this fades and hardens under UV rays. A reflective car sunshade left permanently in the car is the easiest way to keep an interior that looks new after five summers.

  • Custom-fit Fiat 500 car sunshade—two distinct sizes, front and rear.
  • Rear window car sunshade—the area that almost no one protects on a city car.
  • Reflective multi-layer composite—metallic face and insulating core, not just a simple fabric.
  • Preserves seats and plastics—less fading on a colorful Abarth interior.
  • Foldable car sunshade—folds flat, essential in a 500's trunk.

Fitting the front or rear panel on your 500

At the front, unfold it, press it against the glass from the interior, and fold the two original sun visors down over the top edge: nothing to glue. At the rear, the panel fits into the rear window frame, held by its own peripheral tension. In both cases, the car sunshade installation is done without tools and without leaving a trace on the glass or seals. Allow about ten seconds per panel once you've gotten the hang of it.

Why put a car sunshade at the rear too?

Because the sun doesn't just come from the front. Late in the afternoon, when it goes down, it passes through the rear window almost horizontally and directly heats the rear seat, parcel shelf, and seat belts. On a 500 parked facing north, the windscreen is in the shade while the rear cooks all afternoon. A rear car sunshade therefore completes the front protection rather than duplicating it, and it is the combination of the two that really drops the interior temperature.

Fitting steps

  1. Prepare the windshield

Lift the wipers if needed and clear the top of your vehicle's dashboard. Part designed for: Fiat 500 and Abarth 595. Check that your vehicle is one of them.

  2. Clean and degrease

Wash the fitting area, then degrease it with isopropyl alcohol. Let it dry completely.

  3. Stick on the sun visor

Dry-fit the sun visor, peel the film off the double-sided tape, then press firmly for 30 seconds over the whole surface.

  4. Store after use

Fold the sunshade into its cover to keep it in good condition.

  • Remove it before driving.
  • Fit above 59 °F (15 °C) and avoid washing for 24 h: the adhesive reaches full strength after that time.
