Golf 5 Leather Gear Shift Knob — comfort and original style
This leather Golf 5 gear shift knob replaces the worn original shifter, restoring a smooth grip and enhancing the interior of your Volkswagen. A shifter knob dulled by the years immediately betrays a car's age: with a new leather gear shift knob and its matching boot, the center console instantly regains the look and feel of its first few miles.
A design tailored for your Golf 5, Jetta and R32
The matching leather boot perfectly fits the center console of the Golf 5 MK5, Jetta and R32, for a finish faithful to the original. Fans of the Golf 5 GTI gear shift knob or R32 will find the understated German style that gives these interiors their charm: nothing flashy, just a piece that fits perfectly, right where it belongs.
Technology, quality & finish
Carefully stitched genuine leather, resistant to the daily wear of hands, available for 5 or 6-speed gearboxes depending on your engine. The leather grain and tight stitching provide a natural grip that no synthetic leather can match — a gear shift knob with boot that ages well and develops a patina instead of deteriorating.
- Genuine stitched leather — premium feel and durability for daily use
- Matching boot included — complete knob + boot set for a cohesive console
- 5 or 6-speed gearbox — two versions depending on your engine
- Compatible with Golf 5, Jetta and R32 — designed to the dimensions of the MK5 platform
- Faithful to the original look — the understated, refined style of Volkswagen interiors
Easy installation on your Volkswagen Golf 5
Simple installation as a direct replacement for the original knob and boot, with the number of gears in your gearbox (5 or 6) to be checked before ordering. In just a few minutes, changing the gear shift knob transforms the driving position — no special mechanical skills are required.
How to change a gear shift knob on a Golf 5?
The original knob is removed from the shifter after unclipping the boot from its base, then the new set is fitted in its place, respecting the alignment of the grille. It is one of the simplest modifications on an MK5, and the result is felt with every gear change: a firm, precise gear shift knob that feels great in the hand.
