Digital display reversing radar: the announced distance, not suggested
Most kits tell you that an obstacle is approaching. This Risingon QP1001 car reversing radar tells you exactly how far away it is, in numbers, on an LED display designed to be read at a glance. Four ultrasonic radars cover the rear of the vehicle and the box converts each echo into a precise value. This 4-sensor reversing radar fits the vast majority of cars, regardless of their age.
The QP1001 distance display, placed facing the driver
The obstacle distance alarm is displayed clearly: no need to interpret a beeping rhythm to guess whether there are forty or ten centimeters left. In a tight parking space, between a wall and a poorly parked vehicle, this numerical reading builds confidence from the first maneuver. This is what separates a complete Parktronic parking aid from a simple audible warning.
Seven sensor shades accompany the kit — silver, white, black, red, gray, gold, and blue — so that the sensors can match the color of the bumper. When chosen well, the rear parking sensor is barely noticeable on the bodywork.
How the QP1001 converts an echo into a distance
The sensors emit acoustic pulses at 40 kHz. The control unit times the return interval of each reflected signal and deduces the distance of the closest object, before transmitting it to the display and the buzzer. The closer the obstacle is, the faster the tone becomes and the lower the displayed value. The kit operates at 12 V, on a range of 9 to 16 V, from -30 to 80 °C, with obstacle detection from 0 to 2.5 m.
- Digital distance display — numerical value rather than an audible estimate
- Four ultrasonic radars — even coverage of the entire width of the bumper
- Universal Parktronic kit — suitable for most 12 V cars
- Linked audible alert — the beep complements the display without requiring you to look
- Tolerant display from -20 to 60 °C — readable in a frozen or overheated interior
Mounting the four QP1001 radars on the rear bumper
The sensors are embedded in the rear bumper, distributed evenly and at a constant height; their cables join the control unit hidden in the trunk, while the display goes up to the dashboard. The power is taken from the reverse light so that the system only activates when reversing. A no-drill reversing radar installation is not feasible with embedded sensors. Mounting height, thickness, and bumper material: to be checked according to the version before drilling.
Does this kit also work at the front of the vehicle?
It is designed for the rear, with power taken from the reverse light. Technically, nothing prevents mounting a second set at the front, but you then need a separate power supply taken from the ignition and a switch to prevent the alarm from sounding constantly in traffic jams. To cover both ends, it is better to initially turn to a front and rear parking sensor designed for six or eight sensors.
Our parking aid range, from the basic kit to the fully equipped
We deliberately list several levels of equipment: buzzer only, LED strip, numerical display. This QP1001 occupies the mid-range, the one that brings real reading comfort without cluttering the interior. Our French team will answer you before purchase if you are hesitating with a larger reversing radar kit with LED screen or with a version with more discreet sensors.
Choose your sensor color and give your car a reversing distance display.
