Fitting steps

  1. Make the airbag safe

    Wheels straight, ignition off: disconnect the battery of your Audi and wait at least 10 minutes before touching the airbag. Check that the version received matches the "Compatible" option chosen.

  2. Remove the airbag and the steering wheel

    Unclip the airbag, unplug it, then unscrew the center nut and remove the steering wheel, marking its position.

  3. Fit the new steering wheel

    Transfer the controls and the airbag, plug in the connectors, then tighten the nut to the specified torque.

  4. Test all functions

    Reconnect the battery and check that there is no airbag warning light, then check the controls, horn and paddles.

  • Have a professional do the fitting: the airbag is a safety component.
  • Place the airbag face up, away from any heat source.
  • Care for the leather with a suitable, solvent-free product.
